FORGE TRACK
Students hack to solve an industry challenge and win cash
Forge Track has sponsored 2 R&D teams, working to solve a challenge presented by Lonza. Each team received CHF 10k in lab budget to prototype + has 5months to prototype. They will compete for the Grand Prize of CHF 30,000.
STARTUP TRACK
Enabling early-stage Startup ideas in Biotech
Startup Track awarded two non-dilutive grants to entrepreneurial students pursuing their startup idea or project.

Runner-up / CHF 5000 funded by BioIncubate

Selection Event Recap & Admitted Teams
On November 9th, 2023 we hosted our Selection Event at the Kunsthaus Ballroom, featuring 12 pitches total - 6 for Forge Track and 6 for Startup. Ultimately, the top 2 teams were admitted into the Build Phase for Forge and 2 teams awarded grants for the Startup track. Read more below:

Mission of BioIncubate
BioIncubate is a student-run incubator for innovation bridging academia & industry. It enables multidisciplinary teams of students to develop disruptive biotech solutions towards industry challenges or pursue their own startup idea. Students will develop their skills solving real-world problems and workshop their concepts with scientists from industry. BioIncubate aims to showcase biotech's impact and serve as a launchpad for novel startups to emerge in Switzerland.
